“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
Paulo CoelhoSummer, 1996
On June 9, 1996 I dipped the rear wheel of my bicycle in the Atlantic Ocean near Portland, ME. 70 days later I placed the front wheel of my bicycle in the Pacific Ocean near Cannon Beach, OR. After almost 4,000 miles of solo riding, I asked myself, “Will I ever do this journey again?”
Prostate Cancer
A March 1999 blood test revealed a PSA level of 19.8. A biopsy reveled stage 3 cancer, lymph node inspection revealed cancer had spread, next hormone therapy, then six weeks of external radiation, lastly 94 radio active seed pellets inserted into prostate! Fast forward to March 2019, 20 years later, a PSA level of .01. Faith, Family and medical miracle workers saved my life! It is now time to celebrate life and living!
FFF: Faith, Family, Friends

Friends: Working as a team, friends will overcome any challenge.
I am a "Doer"
As a parent I continually asked my daughter and son to become “Doer’s, not just dreamers.” My daughter “M” dreamed of becoming an RN, √. My son “J” dreamed of becoming a pilot, √, and both dreamed of having a loving family of their own, √ √. If I can inspire my grandkids, OMJSN, to be “Doer’s” and not just dreamers, then my journey will be a success.
